California Truckers Worker Classification Injunction Dissolved

A federal judge dissolved a preliminary injunction order in a California Trucking Association lawsuit that blocked a state law that codified a decision making it harder to declare someone an independent contractor.

The ruling was unsurprising given the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit already handed a defeat to the truckers, and the US Supreme Court refused to intervene in the fight over the California law. Dissolving the preliminary injunction means the state could enforce the law.
